1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the complete list of prohibited activities on PlanFolks. It supplements our Terms and Conditions and Community Guidelines and applies to all Users of the Service.
2. General Prohibited Conduct
You may not use PlanFolks to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate any person.
- Discriminate against or vilify individuals or groups based on protected characteristics.
- Impersonate any person, business, or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Create or operate fake, duplicate, or bot accounts.
- Solicit money, gifts, cryptocurrency, or financial information from other Users.
- Engage in any activity intended to defraud PlanFolks or other Users.
- Violate the intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of any third party.
- Facilitate or promote illegal activity of any kind.
- Endanger the safety or well-being of yourself, other Users, or the public.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.
3. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, post, or transmit content that:
- Contains nudity, sexually explicit material, or sexual solicitation.
- Depicts or promotes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — see our Child Safety Standards, enforced with zero tolerance.
- Promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or organized criminal activity.
- Contains hate speech, slurs, or content demeaning individuals or groups based on protected characteristics.
- Depicts graphic violence, self-harm, or content that encourages self-harm or suicide.
- Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights (see our Copyright Policy).
- Contains malware, phishing links, or content designed to compromise device security.
- Shares another person's private information without their consent ("doxxing").
- Constitutes spam, chain messages, or unsolicited bulk communication.
4. Prohibited Technical Activity
You may not:
- Access the Service using automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without our express written permission.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or networks.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Introduce viruses, worms, or other malicious code to the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the data contained therein.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other Users' accounts, or connected systems.
5. Prohibited Commercial Activity
You may not use PlanFolks to:
- Advertise or promote third-party products, services, or websites without our prior written consent.
- Operate a business, agency, or commercial venture through User profiles or travel plans (e.g., unlicensed tour operators soliciting paying customers) without authorization.
- Conduct surveys, contests, sweepstakes, or pyramid schemes.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our permission.
6. Platform Integrity
You may not:
- Manipulate ratings, reports, or trust indicators through fake accounts or coordinated activity.
- Abuse the reporting system by submitting false or malicious reports against other Users.
- Attempt to circumvent a suspension or ban by creating a new account.
- Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in the Service rather than responsibly disclosing them to us at support@planfolks.com.
7. Consequences of Violation
Violations of this AUP may result in content removal, warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination of your account, as described in our Terms and Conditions. Severe violations (e.g., CSAM, threats of violence, financial fraud) will be reported to law enforcement in accordance with our Law Enforcement Guidelines.
